Is NASA lying??

A few months back arose the belief among some folk that the image PIA10214.tif, out of an official NASA website, http://photojournal.jpl.nasa.gov/catalog/PIA10214 contained an image of a statue on Mars.

After reflecting on possible reasons why NASA would choose to publicly deny/confirm any of this, give it any attention what so ever, I was prompted to take a closer look.

Take 1 minute to look for yourself.  You owe yourself some integrity and honesty.  I don’t know what to believe about what I found in the panorama image.  What I do know, is that the image has been transformed.  It does not appear to be Mars at all.

It appears likely that the original picture is from a rocky desert region of Earth  and has been pulled, twisted, and reversed in order to change the structure of the image.

Here are the steps I took to correct the image as much as I could.  I am not as proficient as I would like to be with image correction. Doesn’t matter.  This is very obvious when shown here.  Try it for yourself.

1.  Open image PIA10214.tif in GNU image program (GIMP)
2.  raise the zoom to 150%
3. Scroll to the left until you find the non-statue
4. crop the image to only show the non-statue. 
5. reverse the perspective.  Notice the steps or the foot floating about two steps down yet?

6. Using the rectangle selection tool, select from the top edge of the floating foot, down to the bottom of your picture.
7. Right-click and copy, then right click and paste.  This will give you a moveable portion that will allow you to connect the feet back to the figure.  See how huge they are?
8.Right-click again, and under “tools” find the transform options> “scale”
9. Decrease the size until the feet look appropriate to the image.
10. Find the “rotate” option under the “scale” option and adjust for level.  See the black line on the hillside? Looks kinda like a bunker or some such.  bet it is level enough…
11. Now using the “move tool, move your feet into place like so.

12. enjoy the utter insanity of what our world has become.

Adjust the brightness, levels, colors etc… Note the flesh tones of the hands and feet.  Note the other photo alterings around the rocks.

The implications of this are staggering to say the least.

This single picture raises huge… HUGE questions about our space program…  Does it exist?
